What is the one skill that can help all leaders and the companies they work for get ahead? Negotiation.
Every one of us has to negotiate daily. We negotiate when dealing with budgets, project priorities, resource allocation, scheduling, time management, decision making, team building, conflict negotiation. We negotiate anytime we are interacting with people - our own teams or other functional areas of the business. We negotiate when we develop new initiatives, when we are salvaging old initiatives and when we are embarking on strategically planned initiatives.
This half day workshop will introduce you to business negotiation as relationship development, creative problem solving and strategic thinking. Participants will identify their personal conflict sequence that interferes with effective negotiation. You will learn the skills of effective negotiation, practice the art of negotiation and develop a plan of action for a negotiation you want to initiate in the workplace.

Dr. Linda Salane is the CEO of WNN (Why Not Now) Consulting and Executive Coaching, and is a graduate professor in organizational leadership at Columbia College. She has three degrees from the University of South Carolina.
Salane works with business, government and non-profit organizations in leadership development, succession planning and strategic planning. A Liberty Fellow Mentor and a graduate of the Riley Institute Diversity Initiative, she serves on the boards of Sandhill School, Girl Scouts Mountains to Midlands and Columbia Opportunity Resources. She spoke at TEDX Columbia and was honored by the Columbia Chamber of Commerce as the Community Advocate of the Year.

This professional development seminar is open to members of the Greenwood SC Chamber and its affiliated councils (WLC, CYP, NonProfit & Small Business Councils).
